John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, is said to have had three “general rules” for Methodists.

1) Do no harm.

2) Do all the good you can.

3) Attend to the ordinances of God.

(These are things such as public worship, small group participation,
the Lord’s Supper, family and private prayer, Bible reading, and fasting, for example.)
