Youth – Jr. & Sr. High

The Youth Program at Wesley Monumental includes students in Junior High and High School (grades 6-12).  We are a very active group which meets several times during the week.  Along with studying the Bible and learning about Jesus, we love having fun and serving others.  Contact James P. Owens, the Director of Youth & College, with questions.

Sundays

On Sunday morning we have Sunday School at 9:45 a.m.  In the afternoon the Youth Choir rehearses from 4:00 until 5:00.  Youth Group begins at 5:00 and includes supper, games, and a Bible lesson.  During the summer, we spend Sunday afternoons at Wesley Gardens Retreat Center on Moon River doing outdoor activities like silly games (noodle soccer, anyone?), swimming, and kayaking.

Wednesdays

During the school year, we offer small group Bible studies on Wednesday nights. We eat together with the church at Wednesday night supper then head upstairs for separate youth guys and youth girls Bible studies.

Annual Trips and Events

The Youth gather for many events throughout the year.  If cost is an issue for any youth, scholarships are available.  Here are some of the annual happenings:
Ski Retreat – The youth head to Snowshoe, West Virginia early in the year for a time of skiing and fellowship.
St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast – This annual fundraiser helps support Wesley Youth missions and activities.
Disciple Now – Otherwise known as “DNow,”  our youth – along with other area youth groups – participate in an weekend of exciting worship, awesome speakers, and lots of fun.
Summer Camp – Each year the Youth Group goes to a summer camp such as Student Life.
Mission Trips – There are usually several age-appropriate mission trips in which our students may participate each year.
