To protect and preserve this priceless asset for generations to come, Trustees’ Garden Club in partnership with the City of Savannah and the unanimous support of the Mayor and City Council has undertaken a multi-year project to develop a Master Plan for the park. The expense of the project will be paid for in full by Trustees’ Garden Club along with the generous support of local philanthropic individuals, foundations, and organizations. Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects is leading the planning process.
The park belongs to all of the citizens of Savannah and the planning team needs your help to ensure that ALL the voices in Savannah are heard during the planning process! The planning team is currently collecting feedback on the park through an online survey, ideas wall and interactive map. This information will be used to develop draft plans that will be presented to the community for comment and feedback in the spring of 2021.
Please visit www.friendsofforsyth.org to take the online survey (closing this Sunday, November 22), and post ideas on the virtual ideas wall and the interactive map. You can also follow, like and share Friends of Forsyth’s posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and NextDoor.
