After-School Program and Summer Camp for At-Risk Youth

Urban Hope Savannah’s vision is to help bring change to the inner city through its children, by giving them hope for a better future, through after-school and summer programs.  Urban Hope reaches over 180 children each year, ministering to them, providing regular exposure to God’s word, and guiding/preparing them for a life in which they can succeed and grow into the people God intended them to be.  Urban Hope is a safe, supportive and educational after-school program and an 8-week summer camp.  Elementary and middle school-age children receive help with homework and academics in a caring, Christian environment. High school students get experience in tutoring and servant leadership.

To help children reach their potential, volunteer activities include school-year tutoring and bus driving, as well as summer program volunteers.  Contact Doug Carroll or the organization at community@urbanhopesavannah.org.
