Timothy Hall
Timothy Hall was born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and was raised in Colonial Heights, Virginia.  He received his early keyboard instruction from Pauline Dowman Williams (piano) and Ronald W. Davis (organ).  He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Sacred Music and Organ Performance and the Master of Music degree in Sacred Music (with distinction) from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey, where his principal teachers were Joan Lippincott (organ), Erik Routley (church music, hymnology), Joseph Flummerfelt, Dennis Shrock, Frauke Haasemann and Allen Crowell (choral conducting).  He has also done post-graduate study in French organ music at the Conservatoire Regional in Paris.  Before coming to Savannah in 1991, Hall served Baptist, United Methodist, Presbyterian and Episcopal churches in Virginia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

At Wesley Monumental, Hall serves as organist/pianist and directs all of the singing choirs.  He is the Staff Liaison to the Worship Committee, and works very closely with the Altar Guild.  He plans and administers Monumental Music:  The Concert Series of Wesley Monumental Church, and has served as organist and choral director of the Annual Conference of the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church.

He has been in demand as recitalist, accompanist, choral conductor and adjudicator.  Hall has concertized in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Arizona.  He has been featured as organ soloist and keyboardist with Savannah Symphony, Savannah Sinfonietta and Charleston (SC) Symphony.  He was Chorus Master for Savannah Symphony and later Artistic Director of Savannah Choral Society.  He has served on the Steering Committee for the American Traditions Competition of the Savannah Music Festival, and was also Adjudicator in both the preliminary and competitive rounds of the ATC.  He is currently Associate Director of Savannah Children’s Choir, where he prepares the Senior Choir for concerts and directs the Consort, a small, select group, for special events around the community.

Timothy Hall is the proud father of two beautiful daughters, and recently welcomed his first grandson into the world.  Life is beautiful!
