Rev. Karen A. Kilhefner
Karen grew up on the shore of Lake Erie east of Cleveland, Ohio.  She graduated from Westminster College (New Wilmington, PA) with a Bachelor of Music Education.  She and Dale spent four years in State College, PA while he completed his PhD in Mathematics and she taught senior high choral music and completed her Masters in Music Education at Penn State University.     After moving to Savannah, she taught preschool for nine years before joining the Wesley Monumental staff as Director of Christian Education and Youth in 1987.  Following God's call to ordained ministry, she completed her Basic Graduate Theological Studies and was ordained a deacon in full connection in the South Georgia Annual Conference in 2004.  She is currently the chair of the Order of Deacons and serves on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry.  She and Dale have been members of the Wesley chancel choir since 1974.  They love traveling in the United States and abroad, enjoy hiking, reading, and remain ardent Nittany Lions fans.  They have a daughter, Becky, who worked in Kosovo until its independence and now works in Washington, DC.
