Alex Tracy has served as Wesley Monumental’s Associate Pastor since 2008. He was ordained as an Elder in the South Georgia Annual Conference in 2009. While Alex serves in a variety of capacities at Wesley, he acts as the primary staff contact for the areas of evangelism and missions.
Alex holds a Ph.D. in Religion (Homiletics major and theology minor, 2011) from Vanderbilt University; his dissertation focused on the relationship between the Holy Spirit, preaching, and Christian formation. Alex also holds a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in Philosophy and Latin from Emory University (2001) and a Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology, Emory University (2004).
In his spare time, Alex enjoys bicycling and playing video games. He enjoys reading British satirists such as Terry Pratchett, as well as Doctor Who, the rebooted Battlestar Galactica, and Mythbusters. His favorite contemporary theologians are Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, Jean-Luc Marion, and Louis Marie Chauvet.
Alex and his wife Kelly are the proud parents of a son, Christopher.
